Professor Rob Nelson
Robert G. Nelson, MD, PhD, is a staff clinician at the Phoenix Epidemiology and
Clinical Research Branch, National Institute of Diabetes and
Digestive and Kidney Diseases. He has had more than 20 years' of
research interest in the complications of type 2 diabetes.
His work focuses primarily on diabetic kidney disease, including the epidemiology, natural history, pathophysiology, and clinical trials of renoprotective medicines.
