Who should apply for Cambridge Diabetes Seminar 2006 (CDS 2006)?
Clinicians with an interest in diabetes or epidemiologists or public health workers actively working in this field. As in previous seminars, participants will be selected on the basis of their potential contribution to the public health efforts related to diabetes in their own countries. Those who have attended any of the previous Cambridge Diabetes Seminars should not apply.
What will the participants be expected to contribute?
- Attendance for the full duration of the course is a condition of acceptance.
- Those chosen for the course will be expected to fund their own travel to and from Cambridge. We recommend that you begin the process of securing funding for this as soon as you know if you have been accepted.

For those arriving longhaul, we can additionally provide accommodation on the 15th July, but you will need to let us know in advance to arrange this.]

when possible, but some rooms will have a shared bathroom between two rooms

For any dietary requirements we will collect information from you
nearer the time of the conference, if your application has been successful.
- Please note that if you wish to stay on either before or after these dates, you will have to make your own arrangements.
- As the CDS 2006 is an intensive residential course we cannot make arrangements for accompanying persons.
- Successful applicants will be sent details of books and articles that they might like to read before attending the course as some advance preparation will assist the learning process during the seminar.
- All participants are invited to make a 10 minute presentation on their research. Details of this will be provided nearer the time.
- You will be asked to fill out an evaluation form at the end of the Seminar.
- We hope that you will enjoy the Seminar (!) and network with other professionals at the forefront of this exciting field.
