Peter Bennett

Peter Bennett has had a long-standing interest in the epidemiology and pathogenesis of diabetes mellitus and its complications. He initiated the longitudinal studies of diabetes among the Pima Indians of Arizona and has published extensively on factors that predict the development of diabetes and its complications. He has served as a faculty member on many diabetes epidemiology training courses and has been an investigator and a member of the data safety and monitoring committees for numerous clinical trials related to type 2 diabetes and its prevention. He is a member of several WHO and IDF committees on diabetes.
