Freedom of Information

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, all public authorities designated under the Act are obliged to adopt and maintain a publication scheme. The aim of the publication scheme is to set out:

The purpose of the publication scheme is to ensure that a large amount of information is readily available to members of the public, ie without the need for specific consideration under the FoI Act, and to inform the public of the extent of material that is available.

The Medical Research Council Epidemiology Unit is a Unit of the Medical Research Council (MRC). The MRC freedom of information publication scheme provides further details on the MRC's responsibilities and your rights under the Act.
