Jian’an Luan is a statistician in the Unit. He received his PhD in statistics from University of Plymouth. Prior to joining MRC, he was a research associate at Department of Public Health and Primary Care, University of Cambridge. Before his PhD study, he had one year postgraduate training in medical statistics at the University of Edinburgh Medical School and 7 years teaching and research experience in biomathematics and biostatistics at Beijing University Health Science Center. His research interest is in general statistics, statistical and genetic epidemiology.
