Operations Team

The Operations Team is led by the Business Manager and provides a variety of support services to the MRC Epidemiology Unit including:

  • human resources
  • finance
  • administration
  • facilities management
  • communications
  • unit management. 

The team acts as a key communication channel to staff within the Unit and facilitates contact with:

  • the MRC and Research Councils
  • the NHS and Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge
  • The University of Cambridge and associated departments
  • funding bodies and government departments
  • international agencies and industry
  • the general public and study volunteers.

The Operations Team interprets and distributes advice and information on management, policy, procedures and best practises. This ensures that there are appropriate structures and standards of performance to maximise the outputs from the research that the Unit is involved in.
