Biography
Nita Forouhi is an MRC Clinical Investigator Scientist and Honorary Public Health Physician in Cambridge. Her main research interests are ethnic differences in the risk for diabetes and cardiovascular disease, as well as the descriptive epidemiology and aetiology of diabetes. Her main focus is how diabetes is affected by diet and nutrition.
Nita qualified from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, and trained in clinical medicine in Newcastle and Edinburgh. She was a Wellcome Training Fellow in clinical epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and trained in Public Health in London and Cambridge.
