The 2019 career inspirations series features 12 scientists, all working in different areas of medical research. In each episode, publishing on the first Wednesday of every month, a scientist shares their career highlights, what makes them tick and their advice for forging a career in medical research.
In the second episode, MRC Science Content Editor Isabel Harding talks to Professor Nita Forouhi, about her work dedicated to understanding how food affects our health. She’s inspired by studying the diets and biology of large and diverse populations, to help prevent diseases like diabetes and obesity. She hopes that one day she’ll be able to give people personalised nutrition advice.
