Research Laboratory Technician
Mercy is a Biomedical Scientist and was a Research Laboratory Technician supporting investigations into type 2 diabetes and obesity, before she left the Unit in 2016.
She graduated with an MSc in Biomedical Science and Drug Design in Edinburgh, 2009. In 2010 Mercy investigated the impact of maternal overnutrition and increased risk of obesity and cardiovascular disease at The University of Edinburgh, Queen’s Medical Research Institute. She started working in the Unit in 2011 as a Research Assistant for the SPEEDY study and subsequently worked on the DRCT, Fenland and SPACE studies. She was also involved in ATHENA SWAN for the Unit.
