Please read the following information regarding the Physical Activity Seminar during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Should your application be successful you will be agreeing to the terms and conditions below.
Please see detailed outline below. Any cancellations which are not COVID-19 related will be subject to our normal cancellation policy as outlined on the Terms and Conditions page.
Travel Restrictions
Please ensure that you are familiar with the travel regulations that are in place regarding travelling to England and return to your home country during the pandemic. It is the responsibility of the participant to arrange and complete any necessary paperwork or tests before/upon arrival in England and for their return home. The MRC Epidemiology Unit will not be responsible for any costs incurred or if entry to England is denied on these grounds. Please note that procedures/restrictions for travel may vary depending on vaccination status and are continually updated.
Information on the current restrictions can be found on the Government Website.
Should England enter a full national lockdown or UK Government restrictions prevent the seminar taking place after payment has been made, a full refund of your seminar fee will be provided.
Should your country be placed on the England Travel Red List more than 7 days prior to the event, a full refund of seminar fee will be provided. If this occurs less than 7 days prior to the course, we are able to refund a 75% of fees due to costs incurred on food/drink and staffing commitments.
Should you test positive for COVID-19 in the lead up to travel and therefore are unable to travel, a full refund of seminar fees will also be given if more than 7 days notice is provided. In the event that less than 7 days notice is provided prior to the event a 75% refund can be given.
In these instances you may be able to claim the outstanding amount from your own insurance.
Any travel or other costs not listed above (such as flights/additional accommodation) incurred will not be covered/refunded by MRC Epidemiology Unit and these costs should be claimed through the participant’s or their organisation’s own travel insurance. Please ensure you have all the necessary cover before travelling.
