Current work and interests
Alex has been working as a Laboratory assistant within the Unit’s Laboratory team since January 2018.
As a member of the laboratory team, Alex’s role involves the management of millions of study samples ensuring any samples are prepped and available for biomarker measurement, DNA extraction and genotyping.
Background and experience
Alex gained his BSc (Hons) in Biology from the University of Gloucestershire in 2015. Following this, Alex acquired an MSc in Molecular and Microbiology from the University of Bath in 2017, during which he specialised in infectious diseases and epidemiology.
