Lina is a Research Assistant with the Aetiology of Diabetes and Related Metabolic Disorders programme, and will soon start a PhD and Cambridge International Scholarship supervised by Dr Claudia Langenberg. Her particular research interest lies in characterising the effects of habitual physical activity on the human metabolome and assessing the potential causal relations to adverse health outcomes.
Prior to joining the Unit, Lina completed her Master’s in Epidemiology at Imperial College London with honours in 2016. Her dissertation looked at the relationship between physical activity and the risk of gastric adenocarcinoma in the European population. She has also obtained a Master in Public Health from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tsinghua University.
