Current work and interests

James is a Research Laboratory Technician working at the state of the art Waterbeach sample storage facility.

Background and interest

Following an undergraduate degree in Biology from Southampton University, he completed a PhD from the University of Warwick before working as a post doctoral researcher in the Department of Genetics in Cambridge. James subsequently retrained and worked as a Clinical Scientist at CUH as part of the genetics/genomics unit for 19 years, latterly leading a team focussing on inherited cancer. After a short career break he started working for MRC-Epidemiology in the Waterbeach facility in 2024.
