MRC Epidemiology Unit
The Medical Research Council (MRC) Epidemiology Unit will soon be known as Institute of Metabolic Science (IMS) Epidemiology – or IMS Epidemiology for short.
This change follows a decision by the Medical Research Council to no longer directly fund Units. For many years we have been successful in securing different types of investments from the MRC and other funders. This means that as IMS Epidemiology we will continue our work to inform, develop and evaluate approaches that promote health and wellbeing.
We have been part of the Institute of Metabolic Science since its establishment in 2008, which our new name will more clearly reflect.
We will share more about our future soon on this website and through social media. You will see changes to our website address and other resources, but you will be able to continue to contact us in the same ways as you do currently.
