Work and interests
Dagmar was a senior research study assistant with the Field Epidemiology team. Dagmar’s interest lay in scientific research on the links between diet, lifestyle and health, and the emerging evidence of the importance of genetic factors. Promotion of healthy eating is a particular interest of Dagmar’s.
Dagmar was involved in the collection of data for the Fenland 2 study, and is based at the MRC Epidemiology Unit in Wisbech. Her work included clinical, anthropometric and body composition measurements, followed by the collection of data for the estimation of energy expenditure during the rest and physical activity, as well as data management that involves epidemiological studies data cleaning and analysis.
Background and experience
She studied human nutrition at London Metropolitan University, achieving a BSc (Hons) degree. She graduated in 2014, and her dissertation was a critical review of the scientific literature on the topic Fructose and Metabolic Syndrome.
