Current work and interests
David’s research is focused on the evaluation of the Soft Drinks Industry Levy, which came in to effect in April 2018 and is aimed at reducing the sugar manufacturers add to soft drinks. He left the Unit in 2020.
Background and experience
He previously worked as a data analyst on dietaries studies including the National Diet & Nutrition Survey (NDNS) and the Dietary and Nutrition Survey in Infants and Young Children (DNSIYC), before studying for his PhD at the University of Cambridge.
