Current work and interests
Mayami is the coordinator for the GDARSpaces project at the MRC Epidemiology Unit. GDARSpaces aims to better understand urbanisation and climate-change (syndemic)-related NCD hazards.
Background and experience
Before joining the MRC Epidemiology Unit, Mayami worked as a Global Challenge Research Fund Coordinator at the University of Cambridge Research Operation Office and as a Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021) Impact Coordinator with the Department of Physics and Institute of Astronomy panel.
She holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Cambridge, specialising in the field of optoelectronics.
