Work and interests
Saman was a visiting PhD student within the Nutritional Epidemiology programme. She is a recipient of Doc.Mobility fellowship from Swiss National Foundation. Her project investigated associations of dietary consumption with health status of the liver by conducting epidemiological analysis of datasets from two population-based cohorts in the United Kingdom (Fenland Study) and Switzerland (CoLaus study), supervised by Dr Nita Forouhi and Dr Imaruma Fumiaki.
Saman was a Ph.D. student in Life Science at the Lausanne University Hospital, along with the Swiss School of Public Health (SSPH+). Prior to joining the MRC Epidemiology Unit, her project mainly focused on undernutrition prevalence and its determinants among hospitalised patients.
